Finding suitable employment can be a challenge for anyone, especially survivors – we hope to alleviate some of the stress of finding employment. Survivors can get help with updating a resume, practicing interview skills in mock interviews, and assistance with filling out job applications.

Supporting Survivors on the Path Toward Stability & Independence
Experiencing sexual violence can impact every area of a survivor’s life — including employment, financial stability, education, housing, and long-term economic security. Many survivors face unexpected financial hardship after trauma, including job loss, reduced work performance, medical expenses, relocation costs, or difficulty maintaining stable employment.
Finding suitable employment can be challenging for anyone, especially survivors navigating the emotional, physical, and psychological effects of trauma. Our Economic Advocacy Program is designed to help alleviate some of the stress and barriers survivors may face while working toward financial stability and independence.
We are committed to providing compassionate, survivor-centered support that empowers individuals as they pursue employment, education, and economic recovery at their own pace.
What Is Economic Advocacy?
Economic advocacy helps survivors access resources, tools, and support related to employment, financial stability, education, and long-term self-sufficiency.
Trauma can affect confidence, concentration, housing stability, transportation access, mental health, and many other factors connected to employment and financial well-being. Our advocates work alongside survivors to help reduce barriers, build confidence, and connect individuals with supportive resources and opportunities.
Every survivor’s situation is unique. Some survivors may need immediate employment support, while others may need help rebuilding confidence, accessing education, or navigating financial hardship after abuse or violence.
Our goal is to help survivors feel supported, empowered, and equipped with resources that promote long-term stability and healing.

Our economic advocacy services are rooted in empowerment, compassion, and respect for survivor autonomy.
We understand that trauma affects everyone differently, and healing is not linear. Survivors deserve support that recognizes both the emotional and practical challenges that can follow violence.
This means:
- Survivors set their own goals and pace
- Support is provided without pressure or judgment
- Services are tailored to individual needs
- Advocates focus on empowerment and encouragement
- Survivors are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion
We believe economic stability can play an important role in long-term healing, safety, and independence.

We support survivors of all:

- races and ethnicities
- cultures and religions
- ages

We also recognize that many survivors face additional barriers related to discrimination, disability access, financial hardship, housing instability, language barriers, immigration concerns, or lack of support systems. Our goal is to help survivors access resources in ways that are inclusive, accessible, and affirming.
